AAA-SHOE

Ok, so I realise that the title makes no sense at the mo, but it will do when you've finished reading the post - promise!

First things first, I'm currently in the midsts of one bitch of a cold. I've managed to get both a runny and a blocked nose all at the same time - who knew that that was even possible?? I haven't been this ill since my severe bout of Freshers Flu last year. As the only one of the What Three Wore girls to be going in to the second year of Uni, I've already had the pleasure of tackling the famous illness; a cold that only gave up when I finally went to the doctor's in January and he prescribed me some antibiotics and a inhaler. I feel like that really is a testament to the lengths that I will go to for a good night out - I was literally reduced to a wheezing, puffing mess every time I stepped out of the house. On the plus side, I did spend many a day simply too ill to make it to my lectures. What a shame! Maybe signing up to be a fresher's rep this year (basically an excuse to get the newbie freshers very drunk and get lots of free drinks) wasn't my best idea. Any who, the moral of the story is that I have a cold ... again.

And to cheer myself up, I've been on a shoe shopping splurge. (See, I told you AAA-SHOE would make more sense, it's like a sneeze, but with AAA-SHOE instead of AAA-CHOO, geddit???)

So, to go along with that hilarious pun (that £27,000 English Lit degree paying for itself right there) here are some pics of my lovely new purchases. I realise that I am pandering to every female cliche by using shoes to cheer myself up (very Carrie Bradshaw of me) and the feminist inside of me is outraged. But the sniffling, coughing part of me is very happy - sometimes a girl just needs a new pair of shoes (or 2 ... or 3)!

These River Island beauties were a tad pricey at £55.00, but I think they look sooo much more expensive! The soft colour means that they'll go with pretty much everything, while the subtle hint of snakeskin adds a bit of sass!

I may be a bit behind on the embelished sandals memo, but with a last minute summer holiday at the end of August, I couldn't resist these Kurt Geiger sliders. Especially since they were reduced to just £29.00 in the sale!

These humble little loafers are perfect for a preppy Uni look (most likely at the start of term when I can still be bothered making an effort). The gold bar and soft textured leather look gives off a very classy vibe, no one will suspect that they are actually a bargain George at Adsa purchase - just £12.00!

Lots of Lemsippy Love,

Emma
